Beat the Heat with Sattu Drink: The Easy Peasy, Desi Cooler You Need!

A Cool Protein Drink

Remember those summer days, playing cricket ‘til we turned into sweaty messes? The only cure? A big, cool glass of Sattu Drink! This amazing drink is more than just yummy, it's packed with protein – like a superhero for your body!

Even better, Sattu Drink is super cheap to make. That’s why they call it the "poor man's protein" – it keeps you cool and strong without hurting your wallet. So ditch the fancy drinks this summer, and let's make some Sattu Drink!

What You Need:

  • 2 tbsps Sattu powder (roasted gram flour)
  • 1 glass of cold water (add more if you want it less thick)
  • 1 tbsp chopped onion (because yum!)
  • 1 chopped green chili (be careful, it can get spicy!)
  • Chilli powder or chaat masala (whichever you like more)
  • Rock salt (for that special taste)
  • Black salt (a little goes a long way!)
  • A squeeze of lemon (makes it tangy!)
  • Fresh mint and coriander leaves (the more the merrier!)
  • Roasted cumin powder (optional, for extra flavour)
  • Ice cubes (optional, but perfect for a hot day)

How to Make it (Super Easy!):

  1. Take a glass or jug and put the Sattu in it. Then pour in the water. Don’t worry if it looks weird, that’s how Sattu works!
  2. Now for the fun part! Add the chopped onion, green chili, and your spice (chilli powder or chaat masala).
  3. Don't forget the salty magic! Put in some rock salt, a sprinkle of black salt, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
  4. Want it more flavourful? Add a pinch of roasted cumin powder.
  5. Last but not least, throw in the fresh mint and coriander leaves. These make it super refreshing!
  6. Mix it all together really well. If you want it colder, add some ice cubes!

Feeling Adventurous? Try These Variations!
